Minister - Jay Thompson

Jay Thompson, with his wife Kelley and his two daughters Elisa and Meranda, first came to Cornerstone Christian Church in September 2001 as our new minister after serving as a minister in Kansas. Since then, Cornerstone has been very blessed by the Thompson family, and Jay opted to take on the duties of Elder as well. The church continues to grow with Jay's guidance. Kelley home schools Meranda and also has a quilting business she operates out of the home. Elisa works at Goodwill Industries.

Elder - Larry McKemey

Larry and his wife Sarah have been with the church since 1979. They came with three children that are now grown and two have moved away, while one is still here and married and still attending Cornerstone. Larry has served in a leadership capacity most of the time he has been at Cornerstone. After many years in radio broadcasting (under the name of Larry Stevens) Larry owns and operates an advertising agency in Montgomery. He also serves as an adult Sunday School Teacher. Sarah works at the Montgomery Zoo as PR/Marketing Director and serves as a teacher in the church.

Deacon - Ken Crook

Ken Crook, along with his wife Carolyn, joined Cornerstone in April 2002, and has shown a great deal of knowledge of the scriptures. His desire to aid the education programs at Cornerstone led him to the position of Deacon over Education where he helps the many teachers of the church with supplies, books, and organized programs.

Deacon - Bob Oliver

Bob and his wife Edwina have been with the congregation since about 2003. Bob is retired military and mostly fishes now. He has taken on the job of Deacon of Care Contact. This ministry is designed to be available when anyone in the church is in need of any kind of help. They pay particular attention to the elderly and those that may have an illness or physical limitations. Bob and his team are there when needs arise so the church can respond.

Edwina works at Wal-Mart in Prattville.

Both of them have been involved in independent Christian churches all through Bob�s military career.
